DOXA announces the hiring of five new executive leadership team members. In adding new leaders to the team, DOXA is focused on expanding the organization’s capabilities to support its business units, partners, programs, and clients. These new executives include Matt Bishop, Cindy Bush, Doron Hai, Ammon Smartt and Amy Watts. Bishop joined the team from AGIA Affinity as Head of Operating Entities and Business Verticals, Bush joined as Senior Vice President, People & Culture, Hai joined as Chief Operating Officer (COO), Smartt joined as General Counsel and Secretary, and Watts joined the team as Senior Vice President of Marketing.
This expansion of DOXA’s executive leadership team signals the beginning of a new strategic direction for the company in 2025. DOXA is increasing its focus on organic growth and operational support within its specialty insurance ecosystem by combining new integrations of industry expertise and technology across its programs. The expanded executive team will work with existing leadership to fuel faster growth and drive the next generation of DOXA’s progress.

Bishop brings nearly 20 years of insurance leadership experience to DOXA, offering a mix of expertise in organization growth and strategy, distribution, affinity relationships and more. He came to DOXA from Farmers where DOXA tapped him to run its AGIA Affinity business as its CEO. In his promotion to Head of Operating Entities and Business Verticals, Bishop spearheads DOXA’s growth strategy, identifying strategic partnerships and leading DOXA’s verticals driving continued success.
A specialist in culture and organizational development, Bush is responsible for sharpening and enhancing DOXA’s employee experience, ensuring the workforce remains engaged, motivated and positioned for growth. With more than 25 years of experience with private equity-backed companies and large insurance carriers, Bush combines insurance knowledge and leadership expertise to foster an environment where employees can bring their best selves to work.
Hai holds more than 25 years as an operations and technology executive and private equity operating partner, spearheading business transformations. As COO of DOXA, Hai focuses on strengthening integrated operational capabilities throughout the organization as DOXA builds for the future.
A proficient General Counsel with nearly 20 years of experience practicing law, Smartt brings a wealth of legal knowledge. He specializes in building high-performing legal teams and his career spans several corporate fields, including but not limited to M&A, treasury, litigation, and regulatory matters.
Finally, with more than two decades spent in the insurance industry across direct, affinity and product marketing, Watts specializes in leadership, strategy, omni-channel marketing and product development. As SVP of Marketing, Watts leads a robust marketing team, responsible for propelling growth by delivering innovative marketing strategies to meet DOXA’s goals.
These leaders join DOXA during a period of growth, strategic planning, and success for the organization, prompting enthusiasm at all levels. This growth includes the acquisition or launch of at least seven new managing general agencies (MGAs) or programs in 2025 alone.
