FORT WAYNE, Ind.— April 2, 2026 — DOXA today announced the acquisition of the Jupiter Underwriting Group, a Florida-based managing general agent (MGA) specializing in admitted umbrella and follow-form excess liability. This acquisition aligns with DOXA’s growth strategy for 2026, enabling the organization to expand and offer more resources in the specialty casualty space while continuing to invest across a broader portfolio of specialty insurance sectors.
The Jupiter Underwriting Group, founded in 2019 by insurance industry veterans David Folkes and Dennis Burton, focuses on underwriting complex risks across various sectors, including:

Folkes has a track record of building and scaling platforms across retail and wholesale brokerages, carriers and MGAs, while Burton brings more than 30 years of casualty underwriting experience, including senior leadership roles at well-known carriers.
